Terms & Conditions

Quoted Works

​

All prices are quoted on the basis of cost of labour, fixtures and materials at the date of the quotation and are valid for 30 days.

​

For the purpose of this quotation, it is assumed that existing installations are in good order and comply with statutory regulations. Any work additional to the work to be performed ordered by any competent Authority, local Authority inspector or person authorised by an authority will be charged as an extra.

- Client supplied materials that fail to operate or are incorrectly ordered can incur an extra cost to repair/correct

- A 50% Deposit is required before any works can commence, this to reasonably cover cost of materials

- All equipment supplied and installed by Flametech Heating & Cooling remains the property of Flametech Heating & Cooling until all monies outstanding to Flametech Heating and Cooling in connection with these Terms and Conditions have been paid.

- The Client agrees that until ownership of equipment and materials used in connection to the quoted work has been transferred, it can be accessed and removed at any time by Flametech Heating & Cooling

Variations: All extras or alterations not included in the quotation shall be at the cost of the client.

​

Removal of materials: Any materials removed from the client’s premises in connection with carrying out the quoted work and not used on the job shall be the property of Flametech Heating & Cooling unless otherwise agreed.

Defects in existing installations: Should the contractor in the course of any authorised work, discover any defect in any part of the premises or the existing installation which makes it impracticable or inexpedient for them to continue their work under this contract without repairing or replacing any part of the said premises or installation (and the contactor shall be the sole judge thereof) this shall be extra and be charged at an hourly rate.

Payment

Full payment of invoice is required seven days from issue of invoice for installation and quoted works, C.O.D is required for servicing and minor repair works

Servicing/Repairs

​

Appliances can be quite complex and even though care, experience and skill is used to determine/diagnose faults, It is at times required to install one part to only find another has also failed or repeat visits are required for the fault to present itself, These will be chargeable and not covered under initial visit costs.

​

A service is based on the unit being in good working order, Units that are not operational or are unsafe may require fault-finding / investigative works or repairs, a quote for additional labour or materials to repair or replace the unit will be provided.

​

Protection of Property – If your appliance is heavy or built in, we take care when uninstalling the appliance or moving it to gain access to repair it. As we are not professional furniture removalists, we will take care to avoid any damage, but take no liability for damage to floors or property unless it is caused by negligence.

​

Parts Breaking – We take great care when dismantling and reassembling your appliance to reduce the risk of parts breaking due to be brittle with age, excessive use, being of poor quality or design.  There is a very high risk of parts of your appliance breaking while attempting to repair, dismantle and reassemble old appliances. This is also the case with all appliances where the parts are glued, stuck or fused together.  We do not take any liability for this damage, due to it being unforeseeable and in most cases unpredictable.   In some cases, parts which break are no longer available from the Appliance manufacturers. In this case we will attempt to locate alternative or universal parts to repair the unit, however this is not guaranteed, and the cost will be borne by the customer.

 

Warranty

Warranty claims if and when applicable are conditional upon all accounts and payments being in order and fully settled as per our trading terms.

​

Warranty does not cover misuse of appliance, use of appliance other than as intended by the manufacturer, damage caused by insects, rodents, or pets, or no fault found.

​

7 day warranty on service call fee and labour, for the same fault if it has reoccured by negligance of attending technician from Flametech heating & cooling.

 

Any subsequent repair to the same appliance will be at the customer’s expense.

​

Manufacture warranty on parts. Service call and Labour charges will apply to fit parts under warranty.

Nothing in these terms and conditions are intended to exclude any applicable consumer guarantees
